Addicted to Chocolate???

Your mouth is totally watering just thinking about it, huh?!
 Mine too!
 I have a love/hate relationship with the junk.
UGhh!! I LOVE it cause it's yummy. As soon as I can get my teeth on some, I'm one happy lady.
 I HATE it cause it controls ME!
 Whenever it's in the house, I can hear it calling out for me :) Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about.
Then to top it all off, the dumb stuff makes me eat it all until there is no more left to be found in the house. 
This past Saturday  I really over did it.
 I ate way too much of the good stuff.  I couldn't stop.
I woke up Sunday feeling like I got hit by a Semi.
It's was the worst I have felt in a long time.
I promised myself at that moment I was going to take care of this body I have been blessed with.
So what did I do?
I searched the web to get some help with my madness.
 Remember, I am not a fitness or health professional!

This is just info I found from all my mad Internet searching skills.
 Thought my fellow Chocoholics would appreciate it.
Here are a few things I learned about the "C" word:
1. It affects the part of the brain that a lot of drugs affect, giving us a little bit of a feel good. Obviously not as strong. But enough to make us want to go back for more.
 2. It releases serotonin's through out the body which equals, HAPPY! For a moment anyway.
3. So in turn, alot of women who suffer from depression and anxiety or just plain boredom love the stuff!
That would be my category.
Chocolate is famous for being one of those comfort foods.
We don't HAVE to have it.
4. Doctors and researchers are still trying to decide if there is such thing as "chocolate addiction".

Some suggestions they give to get over this little problem : DUH!!!

1. Eat in moderation. This is where the whole self control comes in :/ If you have to have it everyday, they suggest eating it before a meal so hopefully you are full and satisfied.
 2. Just quit eating it cold turkey.
 3. Exercise if you are bored or feeling anxious. The exercise will release the serotonin that will help you feel happy just like the chocolate. I'm liking this idea!!!
 4. If you feel like you need a chocolate snack make sure you have other choices other than just chocolate.

You can't get over a problem without a plan, RIGHT?!

Here is my plan:

1. I am going to work on eating lots of yummy healthy snacks.
2.  Still eat chocolate just a lot more less :)  REALLY!!
3. Work on working out my anxiety or boredom with exercise and if I have to, organize my house.
4.  I'm going to keep track of what I eat.  MY FITNESS PAL is a free place to do so.


Please tell me I'm not the only one out there who has this problem.  I hope you will leave me a comment with any ideas you might have to help us or me all out!

This weekend I ran my first race EVER! 
{Well, actually,  I remember I ran in the Turkey Trot in middle school. 
I totally should have tripped that girl that beat me. 
I came in third....Only first and second won turkey's!  UGHHH...Totally annoying! 
I know you all really wanted to hear about my bitter childhood memories :/ }

Okay so back to the race.  It was a MUD run.  I ran with a group of fabulous friends. 
 SEEEEEEEEEE! Cute, huh?!

Nothing like mud in your teeth, up your nose, in your shoes and of course in places that don't ever
see day light!   Better yet, nothing like a friend to tell you that you have mud in all these places.

How To Run In A Mud Run

What you need:

Friends who will lift you up when you are down!  Cause, you will be going down.  This is mud people.  It will eat you alive!

It also helps if you have a few morefriends to lean on,  even when your armpits are totally sweaty!

Duct tape... We don't want to loose our shoes!

...On your marks, get set, go!

Okay, so if you decide to run through the middle
of a large puddle of mud that is being sprayed by
your local firemen and their powerful hoses , take a friend.  This is where they come in pretty handy!
Unless, your friend is totally stuck along with you!  That's when her awesome sister, {the happy on in the blue} comes in pretty handy! 
I've never laughed so hard in my life. 
 Both of us were so tired from laughing and struggling to get out.

Now don't forget to flex them neck muscles!
That way you look like one tough mud Queen!!

Don't forget...keep smilin' you wanna  get as
 much mud as possible on your teeth!
Just make sure you have your friend do a tooth
check before you head home.

Then comes the time when the Finish line is in sight.
Move that muddy booty girl!

Don't forget to celebrate at the Finish Line! 
 Make sure you high five a total stranger who you thought was
coming to congratulate you.
  {she really just wants the time chip off you shoe.}
She will think you are a total rock star and not know what to say.
Oh yeah, I blew her away with my fabulousness.
 {She totally asked for my autograph!}

More Inspiration

....from my big BRO!  He just hooked me up with lots of fun songs to workout to.  YIPPERS!!  There was one song that made me feel like Wonder Woman.   I LOVED IT!  I wished the song was as long as my run! That way I could feel like Wonder Woman running the whole time! He texted me back with ,"Oh, you mean like this?

YEEEESSSSS!  Growing up Miss Wonder was my idle.  I would save the labels off my little Sunny D bottle and use them as arm bands.  They made me run FAST!  Maybe I need to invest in some more of those...anywho,  I remember thinking she was AMAZING!  SO SILLY, I KNOW!! I just realized that even when I was small I had a dream of being someone strong and beautiful.  I can't change the way I look, but I can change my weaknesses into strengths.  It's all in my head.  Dream of what you want to accomplish and it's totally possible.  Thanks Wonder Women....YOU ROCK!  Now I'm off to make my dreams come true...kick some work out booty:)

I know I'm totally talking to myself right now......does that mean I have some sort of condition?!  Oh well, add it to the list! Heehee!  I started my new workout schedule this week.  WHOOT, WHOOT! 

And then the whooting stops!   

 I did somethin' funky to my right trap muscle doing TURBO.  UGGGHHHH!  I did the same thing a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out what it was from.  Then when I went to punch the stink out of the air on Monday,  I felt the very same muscle do a crazy little dance. OUCH! 

 Punched a little too hard...oopsy! 

SO, the reason I'm telling you this, is because the only way it went away last time was when I change up the workout I was doing.  I'm going to have to stop Turbo for a few days until it gets better.  STINKS! 
So, today I started something TOTALLY NEW for me and TOTALLY FABULOUS!  OH MAN!  My body needed a shocker and it got one.  Let me introduce you to Mr. Fabulous!

SERIOUSLY BOB?!  You kicked my booty!  You made me push harder and go deeper.  My legs were screamin' and my arms were on FIRE!  WHEW!  I'm breakin' a sweat just thinkin' about it.  I watched the video one time through before I did it.  At the time I thought...NOT BAD!  I've done all of these moves before.  This should be fun!  WELL, I am happy to say, I got my booty kicked today friends!  Bob is my new best friend.  YAY! I'm going to figure out a new little schedule so I can keep on top of my 4 week plan I had going.  As soon as I do I will be sure to post it.  For now, I am keeping on top of my workouts, eating pretty good...down to 1 cookie a day and I feel GREAT!  I'm just gonna keep pluggin' along.  I saw this INSPIRATION on pinterest and had to share 

This could apply to anything in life....just keep going!  SO, here I go and go and go! Heehee!  Go get sweaty today people.  SMOOCHES!

Call me TURBO!!

I have been working out SO stinkin' hard since November of last year.  Let's see, how long is that....(bad math skills kick in about now) about 8 months?!  CRAZY!   I can't believe it, it's gone by so fast.  I have to say it's been an amazing ride!  YEEE  HAAWWW!  Since I've been working so hard, I decided to take a little break this past week.  I needed to let my body recover from all the crazy stuff I have put it through.  I still played volleyball  a few times and threwn in a few aerobics classes too.  I just tried not to do anything too hardcore.  

Well, my break is over people!  It's been fun, but, I miss working hard.  I had absolutely no energy.  I was eating junk and I felt just plain yucko.  No mo of that, fo shizzle!  I'm ready to kick things back into gear and get my booty moving again with  a  tough work out.  I found a Hybrid on Beach Body.

Insanity/Turbo Fire AKA: Insurbo!   

 I love both of these programs but just need to mix things up a bit. This Hybrid should be perfect.  I will probably throw in a little Asylum in there too.  Just call me TURBO!  

I am going to go ahead and post my workout schedule below.  If you have these workouts you could follow along with we.  I love having friends to talk to ALL about sweatin' my brains out.  THE BEST!  My motivation this time around?  I have a 5K Obstacle Course Mud Run in August.   Fun, right?!   Short but TOTALLY sweet.  I just can't come in LAST!!!! ( I'm totally afraid I will. Sorry Mags! EEEKKK!)

Let's DO THIS!

I'm SO excited!  This new blog is to track all my exercise adventures, questions, inspiration, workout clothes, people I love and lots more.  I just wanted a place to be able to blab all about Sweatin'!  I'm hoping it will help me to be able to keep myself in check.  DUMB SWEET TOOTH! (I should probably say sweet TEETH!)  Ugghh! If this sounds like fun, join me !  It's always so much more fun to workout with friends.  Just a little note, I am NOT a fitness professional.(I do dream of becoming one, some day!)  I don't always have proper form.  I can't ALWAYS keep cookies out of my mouth.  Let's just say I warned ya!  I hope you join me and I can't wait to get my sweat on!  Let's DO THIS!
